Labatt Better Together is dedicated to protecting the privacy of grant applicants and donors. We recognize that privacy is important to you, and that you trust us to respect individual privacy and ensure the confidentiality of collected information.
Accountability
Labatt Better Together is committed to complying with all federal and provincial privacy legislation applicable to our operations.
Types of Confidential Information
Labatt Better Together collects confidential donor information:
Donor information is personal information that identifies contributions and contact information of current, past and potential donors to the charity.
Donor Information
Labatt Better Together collects Donor Information for the following purposes:
- to solicit and collect donations;
- to provide tax receipts and thank donors for their contributions;
- to provide donors with information about Labatt Better Together activities and initiatives;
- to build and cultivate relationships with donors through exchanges of information.
Consent
Donor Information – By providing Donor Information, consent to the collection and use of that information is implied.
Limiting Collection, Use and Disclosure
The personal information collected will only be used and
disclosed for the purposes for which it was collected, and
will only be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill
the above noted purposes. When the information is no
longer required for the above noted purposes, it will be
destroyed in a secure manner.
Accuracy
Labatt Better Together will take reasonable steps to
ensure that the personal information that we have
collected is accurate, complete and up-to-date as is
necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
Safeguards
Personal information will be protected by security
safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the
information collected. Labatt Better Together will make
reasonable security arrangements to protect personal
information in our custody or under our control from and
against such risks as loss or theft, as well as
unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying,
modification, disposal, destruction or such similar risks.
Openness
Labatt Better Together will be open about our policies and
practices with respect to the management of personal
information. Individuals will be able to acquire
information about our policies and practices with
reasonable effort and in a form that is generally
understandable. Labatt Better Together reserves the right
to change our policies at our own discretion without
notice.
Individual Access
Any donor or applicant who desires access to or amendment
of their personal information or information about its
use, collection, disclosure or accuracy of information

Privacy Notice
This notice describes how Labatt Better Together collects,
uses, shares, and secures the information that it collects
from people who visit the Labatt Better Together publicly
facing websites. This notice does not describe our
practices concerning the information that we collect from
donors, or the information that we collect from grant
recipients.
The Information We Collect
We collect both personal and non-personal information from
you. When we use the term “personal information”, we
mean information that directly identifies you, or allows
someone to directly contact you. Examples of personal
information include your name, e-mail address, telephone
number, or business contact information. When we use the

- By Asking: We may collect some information from you by asking that you provide it to us. For instance, we may ask you for your email address or other business contact information.

Among other things, Labatt Better Together may use

address, to send you information about charity news,
seminars and events that may be of interest to you, or to
respond to a request for proposal. If you decide that you
do not want to receive emails from us, you can “opt-out”
from receiving such emails by clicking on the
“unsubscribe” link provided at the bottom of every email
or by sending an email to
"bettertogether@labatt.com". If you decide at a later time that you would like to
receive emails from us, you can re-add yourself to our
communication list.
How We Share Information
We may share information about you with third parties in
certain circumstances including in the following
situations:
- Affiliates: We may share information with companies that we own or control, that are owned or controlled by us, or that are under common ownership or control.
- Blogs, Online Postings, and Testimonials: We may decide to allow users to share comments, postings, testimonials, or other information. If you choose to submit such information to us, the information that you submit may be available generally to the public. Information you provide in these areas may be read, collected, and used by others who access them.
- Business Transition: In the event that we, or any portion of our assets, are acquired, we may share all types of information with the acquiring company.

disclosed to individuals who are not described in this
policy. While we follow reasonable procedures to try to
protect the information in our possession, no security
system is perfect and we cannot promise, and you should
not expect, that your information will remain secure in
all circumstances.
